At the meeting of the executive of the Ancaster Township Historical Society July 19, 2021 it was decided to cancel the member’s supper meeting tentatively scheduled for September 17, 2021 due to continuing concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the meeting of the executive of the Ancaster Township Historical Society June 16, 2021 it was agreed to quit accepting membership dues for 2020 and apply any dues already paid to 2021

Due to the continuing lockdown status emanating from the COVID-19 pandemic, the cancellation of the General Meetings of the Society continues through April 2021

Due to circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, both the March 27 and the April 24, 2020 General Meetings have been cancelled

October 22, 2019 Updated Speakers Program for 2019-2020

The archives of the Society have been packaged and removed from their temporary location at Memorial School September 12, 2019. This was necessary to allow the construction of the Arts Centre that is to replace the school to proceed. The Archives will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

The date for the March 2018 meeting has been changed to March 23 (March 30 being Good Friday) and the venue has been changed to the ‘Murray Ferguson Room’ in the Town Centre

The October and November 2017 General Meetings will be held at the Optimist Youth Centre (237 Manitou Way, Ancaster, ON L9G 1Y1) due to construction at the Ancaster Old Town Hall.

At the meeting of the executive of the Ancaster Township Historical Society November 16, 2015 it was moved and carried “That the ATHS Archives, housed at the Fieldcote Museum, be closed to the general public and opened only by appointment with an ATHS member in attendance.” It is anticipated that this policy will remain in effect until a new archivist is named by the society.
